<lj:music>Footloose</lj:music>

Not sure if people have read a bulletin I post a couple weeks ago. I bought my sister the Footloose DVD last Christmas and decided to watch it one day. I don't think I've watched the whole movie all the way through before, so I popped the DVD in. I was iffy on doing an AMV on Footloose before, but after I saw the movie I felt that I should give it a shot. I know that there are other Footloose AMVs out there, but hopefully mind will be different. Here's a little bit of it, this will be submitted in ACen's AMV contest this year.

Well, this week was pretty busy. I had to work for my parents which is not to hard unless a customer starts to complain or an order isn't ready. Otherwise, I just sit there and stare into space. I should draw during that time though it's not a nice environment to work in. I'm planning to work on a non-anime music video; that would be the Spider-man movies. Last night on Conan o'Brien was pretty funny. They did a sketch on the Most Controversial Movies, the last one was Toy Story 2, and Conan stated that Pixar wanted to reach out to an older audience. They showed a clip and it was the scene where the toys were surfing channels on the TV and they stopped at a HENTAI xD hahahaa; an elf was having sex. Funny stuff!

The show is over, I'm very tired now. But I must document this memorable evening.
The "Play!" Videogame Symphony was amazing. Lots of great game music was played, my favorites were Mario, Aerith's theme, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Silent Hill...basically all of it. ^^; I filmed almost half of it on a low quality sony camera. Angela Aki was awesome; her version of Eye's on Me blew me away. On my way to the theater, I saw Nobuo Uematsu walking from his hotel ^_^
Some funny moments during the show was that a few occasions, after a song, conductor Arnie Roth would present the next song and someone would scream out "Zelda!" hahaaa and also near the end when he said that a certain song has yet to be released(song from Blue Dragon), a guy yelled out "Tetris!" xD so hilarious. It was interesting to see an event like this appear very casual, most people didn't wear formal clothes; of course it's a differ audience as you all know. I wonder how the Chicago Pops Orchestra views it. Anyway, they closed the concert with the all popular song "One-winged Angel". They played it TWICE. It had such a response, a minute or 2 after Arnie Roth left the stage, he came back and set it up again, with a fast tempo. I went with my brother and we left just about 11:11pm. I got back in time to wish my sister a happy birthday too; her golden birthday.
Ok, I'm finished now.

Where to begin.

Thursday: I arrived at the Hyatt with my friend Ray around 9:30am, he hooked up his internet and I pretty much used it til it was time to get my badge xD

Friday: My first time I cosplayed Advent Cloud in full gear. I forgot how many times I got glomped, but most of the time I was asked first =P I took alot of pics, I took pics with people who wanted to take pics with me lol xD It was really fun, I met a few new people; people who I met online and such.
I was set up at the Artist Alley for the first time too. If I knew that the AMV contest was gonna cut out the Staff videos, I would've stayed at the AA longer; so I was pretty bummed about that. They told me they'll show it Saturday and Sunday. At the dealer's room I bought the AC Cloud figure w/the fenir motorcycle, a couple of FFVII trading arts figures...I think that was mainly it.

Saturday: I stayed at the AA most of the day I think..I spotted very cute cosplayers too. I was cosplaying Cloud at the time and an FFVII Tifa cosplayer came up to me and asked if I could take a picture with her. "Sure!" I said; I took a pic of her as well. About 15 minutes later, she comes back and shows me a FFVII:AC Tifa keychain. Without saying anything, she gives it to me and I asked if it was for me. She nods and I thanked her, I didn't think that was good enough so I came around the table and gave her a big hug, lifted her and lightly swung her around xD I think she was a bit surprised about that.
On my way back to the room(6th floor), down the hallway a girl dressed as Lacus Clyne from Gundam came running to me and jumped off the ground about 5 feet away from me and we went 360 ^^;, wrapped her arms around me and knocked my armor off xD Yeah, so I hung out with her sometime during the con. I changed into my Tsukasa cosplay for a 5:00 .hack photoshoot. There were a few more Tsukasa, a really cool Mimiru, Maha, Aura, my con friend who was Crim, a Crimson Knight, Kite, and another .hacker... I was sad that I didn't meet up with A-20, I'll have to talk with her when she's on AIM again. I checked out the rave, it was blehhh...no lapdances from any girls, boooooo xD .. My legs were pretty tired anyway.

Sunday: I woke up around 9:15am and went to the Production room. After the meeting, I saw my friend as Naru sitting by the spiral statue, waiting for the Love Hina photoshoot. I went to her and said I was going up to change into Keitaro. When I came back, we waited a bit for other Love Hina people to show up, but they didn't. Boohoo =P So it was just me and Naru ^_^ We took a good amount of pics outside, they came out pretty well. After the shoot, I changed to my other set of normal clothes and hung around the AA a little bit. I went to the Tomoko Taniguchi meet and greet, very cool. She sketched something for me and it was a small group of people, so it was all good. After that, I went straight to the AMV award ceremonies. Guess what? I won BEST STAFF award!! =D I had a 50% chance of winning. My video, who no one knew what it was called, had quite a few laughs. I went up to the stage and picked up my stuff, I pretty much said "Thank you." in a very weird way ^^; People shouted "What's the video called?!", I told them as a nervously said "My Ridiculously Good-looking Video" So bad...^^;; This is my 3rd award in 5 years.

I think that was pretty much it. I hope next year will be better!

Well, I'm done with my program book stuff. I'm currently working on a little poster with another staff artist. I hope we have more Japanese guests coming.. 1 is pretty disappointing. The staff artists actually have a table at the artist alley, haha... I'll be selling some my ACen stuff and run a few color prints of each of this and last year's art, see how that goes. I don't wanna stay at the Alley for the whole con, so I'll make like 7-10 copies for each art I'm selling, rare! xD
I'm still cosplaying Cloud, Tsukasa late Saturday, and possibly Keitaro(Love Hina) for Sunday.
Gotta get back to work!

Hopefully I'll get it work and watch it on the widescreen tv ^_^
I'm signed up for the Draw or Die competition at Reactor Friday, wonder how that's gonna go.
That's about it for now..

    <lj:music>Star Wars Main Theme - John Williams</lj:music>

Today I spent time cutting some weeds and grass, which was blistering..but at least there was something cool by the end of the day; I went with my sister, her bf, and my brother to the Ravinia Festival where the Chicago Orchestra was playing selected music from the 6 Star Wars films. It was pretty cool as we got there around 6-ish and it started around 7. The young Bobafett(sp?) from episode II(which I haven't seen ^^;) was the narrator throughout the concert. They played "Duel of the Fates" but NO CHOIR!! >.< ohh well.. it was a fun time and it was an outdoor event, and we stayed on the lawn area; I did get to see the orchestra play for about 10 minutes..it was pretty packed. By the end of the concert, they played one more song which was the "bar music". Those are pretty much the highlights of the day. Til next time! XD lol

Today I went to the Wizard World comic con. It was a nice turn out of course, I walked around for a bit; trying to look for the Reactor booth. Then I saw Margot Kidder lol yeah that's right..Lois Lane XD I was like...all those times I saw the Superman movies, there she was in person. What the heck..so I came up and asked for an autograph, though I had to buy a picture at the table. I was thinking..what should I say to her? lol "I saw you on Smallville last night, hehee" -_-; She was kinda passive and said something like, "oh yeah?"...and she was talking to someone about when she was at the Fortress of Solitude, the ice was made of styrofoam(sp?), and her heels would get stuck and stuff.
Anyway, I finally found Reactor and prereg'd. I bought a few stuff too, a t-shirt that says "I'm only using 20% of my TRUE POWER!", a Cloud(FFVII:AC) wallscroll(someday I'm gonna cosplay Cloud and girls will want me!!!) XD lol...heh..:-/ Oh yeah I saw Steamboy, it was okay..most of the dubbing cast came from comic films(X-men, Spidey 2).

Cut and pasted, this is pretty funny XD lol

<jonjonb> Purely in the interests of science, I have replaced the word "wand" with "wang" in the first Harry Potter Book
<jonjonb> Let's see the results...

<jonjonb> "Why aren't you supposed to do magic?" asked Harry.
<jonjonb> "Oh, well -- I was at Hogwarts meself but I -- er -- got expelled, ter tell yeh the truth. In me third year. They snapped me wang in half an' everything

<jonjonb> A magic wang... this was what Harry had been really looking forward to.

<jonjonb> "Yes, yes. I thought I'd be seeing you soon. Harry Potter." It wasn't a question. "You have your mother's eyes. It seems only yesterday she was in here herself, buying her first wang. Ten and a quarter inches long, swishy, made of willow. Nice wang for charm work."
<jonjonb> "Your father, on the other hand, favored a mahogany wang. Eleven inches. "

<jonjonb> Harry took the wang. He felt a sudden warmth in his fingers. He raised the wang above his head, brought it swishing down through the dusty air and a stream of red and gold sparks shot from the end like a firework, throwing dancing spots of light on to the walls

<jonjonb> "Oh, move over," Hermione snarled. She grabbed Harry's wang, tapped the lock, and whispered, 'Alohomora!"

<jonjonb> The troll couldn't feel Harry hanging there, but even a troll will notice if you stick a long bit of wood up its nose, and Harry's wang had still been in his hand when he'd jumped - it had gone straight up one of the troll's nostrils.

<jonjonb> He bent down and pulled his wang out of the troll's nose. It was covered in what looked like lumpy gray glue.

<jonjonb> He ran onto the field as you fell, waved his wang, and you sort of slowed down before you hit the ground. Then he whirled his wang at the dementors. Shot silver stuff at them.

<jonjonb> Ok
<jonjonb> I have found, definitive proof
<jonjonb> that J.K Rowling is a dirty DIRTY woman, making a fool of us all
<jonjonb> "Yes," Harry said, gripping his wang very tightly, and moving into the middle of the deserted classroom. He tried to keep his mind on flying, but something else kept intruding.... Any second now, he might hear his mother again... but he shouldn't think that, or he would hear her again, and he didn't want to... or did he?
<melusine> O_______O
<jonjonb> Something silver-white, something enormous, erupted from the end of his wang

<jonjonjonb> Then, with a sigh, he raised his wang and prodded the silvery substance with its tip.

<jonjonjonb> 'Get - off - me!' Harry gasped. For a few seconds they struggled, Harry pulling at his uncles sausage-like fingers with his left hand, his right maintaining a firm grip on his raised wang.
